PCOS treated with Endrometrial Ablation???

I am 38 years old. I have PCOS, hypothriodism, High cholestrol and tri's. After reading about treating PCOS with glucopage. I went to the doctor yesterday for treatment of PCOS. He wants to perform an endrometrial ablation, tie my tubes (I am done having children), laser any cysts on my ovaries and take me off birth control. I have had no problems on birth control. He won't treat with glucopage and feels after the surgery that I won't notice my hormonal imbalance because I will have no periods. How is this supossed to help my extreme tiredness, my 35 pound (impossible to lose) weight gain? He put me on vitamins ($85 a month) and told me to try to excercise 3 days a week! I feel like crying!
