Hi Darlene, I was diagnosed in Aug. 2001. I started having the cramping that made me sick to my stomach in June of last yr. Last Dec. I had a Laproscopy done and they found Endometriosis. The Met will help even out your sugar levels, but it will also in many cases help restart your periods. Are you taking Glucophage or Glucophage XR? I personally have taken Actos and Glucophage and couldn't handle them. I am currently on Glucophage XR 2000 mgs. a day but I don't take them all the time as they irritate my IBS. I developed this from all the different meds. for the PCOS and the Endometriosis. I am also taking Spiro for my male hair problem. It seems to be working somewhat the hair is still there but it's starting to turn blonde as opposed to black and it's not quite so course. If I may ask who is your dr. for the PCOS? I see Dr. Christian Hanson when he comes to Cleveland Hospital for his weekly PCOS and Diabetes clinic. I never have had the privelege of not having a period. Until recently I was flowing 20 days a month heavy w/ huge clots. I am now taking Depo Provera for the Endo and I haven't had a period in 2 1/2 weeks. Before I started on it I had a period from Jan. 10th to Easter Sunday. Then I quit up until 3 weeks ago. Best wishes I hope we can set up a PCOS Support group in the Tulsa area. I'll catch ya later.
