Re: How long should I wait?From: Michelle (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 29 Jul 2003 08:23:42 -0700 (PDT)
I was just recently diagnosed with pcos and diabetes. I've been on a period since december. For 8 months there has been no break. Sometimes it's light and sometimes very heavy but no break. I didn't have insurance until july. Thank god I got to the doctor because my blood work wasn't good. Get to the doctor as soon as possible. Make sure he does a complete blood work up. That means hormonal, cholesterol, triglyserides, lipid panel, thyroid, glucose, and liver function. Make sure you get an ultrasound. One of the big indicators will be an enlarged uterous. Make sure you get prescribed glucofase(metformin). You can E-mail me directly at gloomygrumpalump@yahoo.com. Most important is to read as much about pcos as you can. I'm an information junkie and it really has opened my eyes. Good luck.anonymous <anonymous@obgyn.net> wrote: > I had been having abdominal pains for the past 5 > days like I've never > had before.
