I went to the neutritionist today and am so thankful I did. My ob put me on 80 grams a day of carbs and 1oomg of metformin. Well the neutritionist said the reason I was so sick was because I was not getting enough carbs. She said she consults with a reputable endo and he suggests 45-60 carbs per meal and 2000 mg of metformin. I'm going to try that because before I had the diahrreah really bad and was taken down to 500 mg metformin a day and the neutritionist says that isn't enough to do anything. So good luck but do try to eat more carbs. If you don't you'll have no energy to exercise and that's an important part of all this too. --- Mona <anonymous@obgyn.net> wrote: > I started Atkins the same day I started 1000 mg
