Thank you for all your responses. It's given me some more to think about. I am lucky in that my hypo symptoms are not usually that bad or that predictable, so perhaps that is why I would not get such a dramatic change? I do still get dizziness/rapid heartbeat from time to time but the low level fatigue and feeling of unfitness that is not related to just not exercising is perhaps the most striking thing and that would take time to reduce. I am going to try and see if I can experiment with an increased dose next appointment and I guess I shall see. The tricky thing is needing to get that balance between the amount of drug and the amount of carbs and the time needed to get to the stage where you can notice an improvement. I am just concerned that if I have no signs of improvement after 6 months the docs will take me off it. Not when it took me over a year to get the darn prescription! AAARGH! Unfortunately I cannot think of one single thing that has improved unless my blood tests show something. I can't think of what to say at the moment if they try to take me off it. It makes sense to me that tweaking the dose may be needed, that when you've had this disorder for so long that these things are going to take time...but I have no literature to back me up on this that I can think of right now.
