Kris, Hello! I'm taking chromium picolinate with my glucophage xr. Don't know if I have lost any weight yet or not. Going to the doctor this week so I will find out if I have. Meshell

It's amazing how many things we all have in common, really amazing, physically and emotionally. Maybe we've come far in the last five years, but I don't think far enough. When I've talked about PCOS over the years, no one ever knew what I was talking about. Now when I add insulin resistance to it, they say oh, you're diabetic. Could we be more misunderstood. Do you think if guys had ovaries there would be an answer already? Ok, enough grumpiness!:o)

Conception...my first child I conceived eleven years ago, no problem, but I just came off the pill, after being on it for seven years. The second pregnancy was the big problem. I tried for two years, went through all kinds of tests, gave all kinds of "samples" :o) was diagnosed PCOS, took clomid, then had twins. That was seven years ago. But like I said in my first post, I thought PCOS was a period and pregnancy problem only. I had no idea, until recently. I didn't care that I had infrequent periods. I didn't want to go back on the pill, too many side effects. After my twins, I never thought about birth control. I never thought I could get prenant without clomid, but.....I did. I have no idea how, but she's here. I can't explain it. I did ovulation kits for months with no results, nothing , without clomid. I lost my mom, grandmother and grandfather all in a five year period and got pregnant with her the very next year. I like to think maybe it was their gift, or practical joke. I don't know. :o) Best of luck to you Randi. (and to your husband, I drove mine crazy. WE'd love to chat with both of you too)

Just wondering, anyone try supplements like chromium piccolate while taking glucophage? or other supplements to help with weight loss ? Kris
