Go see a doctor who is familar with this disorder. MY ADVICE TO YOU IS THAT IF A DOCTOR TELLS YOU OH THAT'S A BUNCH OF NONSENSE GO SEE ANOTHER DOCTOR. Some doctors feel that they should have the answer to everything and if they are unfamiliar with a disorder they'll just brush it off and advise you differently. Many women go undiagnosed for so long it's ridiculous!!! Because these damm doctors do not take the time to learn about it!!! You must be proactive and search for a doctor that will understand and help you.. Your are young enough to get the help. I was diagnosed 2years ago at the age of 38; I had progressive weight gain, dark patches on the nape of the neck, inner thighs, elbows and knees. I was lucky to find a GYN who was able to diagnose me with the disorder, I also had to find a primary care physician who also prescirbed me the right medications; and I feel confident that I getting the help I need.. Please seek medical advice as soon as possible.... Take care and good luck Nina..
