Jessica,

I was having problem very close to yours. I finally changed Dr.s and he said like your no surgery due to age (33) and weight. His suggestion was an IUD call Mirena. It has progesterone in it. As I'm sure you know one of the problems with PCOS is that the lining in our Uterus becomes very thick, this IUD helps to thin that lining, therefore lessen the bleeding. I went from being "Queen of the Over Night Pads". I was miserable. I can say that I now think of life much differently. Since the IUD was inserted, I usually don't even have to wear a pad of any kind, the bleeding is so light. You would still need to take your PCOS meds, just not birth control pills. Good lUck , hope this helps.
