Hi Jennifer, I'm new to this board, but I've had the symptoms of PCOS for 7 years (since I was 17). I too had bad excess hair growth- especially on my face- so much that it was affecting my self esteem, personality, and ability to be happy. Instead of regular laser hair removal, I got something called Epilight which worked really really well. Here is a link to a page that explains it: http://www.topdocs.com/epilight.htm The page kind of comes across as sounding like a commercial, but for me at least this was an incredibly effective treatment. I had three treatments during summer/fall 2000, and the hair is just now growing back and thickening again. They were expensive ($1000 apiece), but I had my upper lip, chin, sideburns, stomach, lower back, and butt done. So it'd probably be a lot less for just your face. And it was totally worth it, to not have to shave my face everyday, or hide in public, or cry at night because I felt like a freak.
