Re: Can Testosterone be the real problem? From: Kristy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 2 Jul 2003 13:52:21 -0700 (PDT)
Yes, testosterone can be the real problem for some with PCOS. It is for me. My high levels of testosterone is how I got diagnosed. And the reason for that is b/c of the fact that I had taken testosterone shots when I was a baby. There are many possibilities for what causes PCOS. For some it's testosterone, others IR, others something else that we probably don't know about. And of course genetics is yet another for some. ===== Kristy :) http://www.geocities.com/sokokl/kristyspersonalpage.html For women who are interested in additional support http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Endo_Vulvodynia_PCOS/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Zoladexforendometriosis/ I am a Medical Secretary who does a lot of learning from reading on the Net, books, my dr(s), as well as sharing my own personal experiences.
