Hello All. I have posted here a few times before over the last 6 months. I have found that everyone wants to help- and you all do. I also realize we are all given different information all the time. My biggest concern right now with my pcos is with my appearance. I turned 30 this year and have been really depressed with how "manly" I have become. I have asked once b4 about Laser Hair removal and got a mixed batch of opinions (and I am thankful). Today I went aheas and made an appointment for Laser hair removal...was it a big mistake? I know that the results are not permenant - but anything has got to be better than hiding behind my husband when we go out..or hiding behind my long stringy hair when I am alone. I have been trying the diet advice from the pcos diet book hoping not only to lose weight but to also by some miracle help to keep the hair from growing anymore! I have failed at both..and all the effort has brought me to this very bad place....so now desperate to feel "NORMAL" again I have made the appointment to if not eliminate then to reduce the hair growth. I want to hear about anyone alses experience with the laser- anyone permenantly damaged? ANyone have wonderfl results- a pleasant experience? am i asking for a dream "cure?" I am really feeling low and hope you all could shed some insight in my direction. Thank you so much for all the help in the past as well as today!
