Re: Sleep questionFrom: Natasha (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 30 Jun 2003 21:32:11 -0500 (CDT)
Hi Alyssa, I have had a problem with concentration and lack of energy for years myself now. That just seems to be a natural occurance, especially if your hormones are out of balance. I have difficulty falling asleep as well, sometimes just laying there for hours and hours beforehand, and tend to wake up many times throughout the night. I made it even worse for myself by working a night shift for 8 months straight at my last job. But, recently, I was fortunate enough to have been introduced to a therapist who recorded and distributed her own meditation tape, specifically for listening to while trying to fall asleep. I've been using it this past month, and it has made a HUGE amount of difference. I don't even wake up once now before my alarm goes off in the morning. I think it's a MUST, especially for us girls who are suffering from so many emotional and physical burdens of PCOS, which naturally tend to cause us stress. I'm sure there are plenty of meditation recordings out there, specifically ones that have sound effets PLUS someone talking you through it. It's imperative to have both, because even if you don't thoroughly listen to every word, it'll still go into your subconscious. Try doing some searches online.. Hope this helps & best of luck,
