I did not have a drop or an increase in my weight after surgery. Of course I got pregnant 2 months after that, so that's probably the reason why. I did have gestation diabetes, like I did with the pregnancy for my first child, and I always lost weight right after delivery (about 20 or 30 lbs) because I was not gaining a lot of weight when I was following the diabetic diet and taking insulin.

Just a note, too, I have had regular periods ever since I had this done. I don't know if I've ovulated or not because I had my tubes tied after the delivery of my second child (yeah, I know, how ironic is that?), but I was surprised that they have been almost like clockwork since then.

Good luck with your surgery. You may want to ask them to use an insulated needle.

Best wishes!!
