I know what you are going through. I was in the same position. I went from not having periods to having long, heavy periods after the birth of my daughter. I jsut recently went to a new GYN and he did a biopsy to check for abnormailites. Everything came back fine. He suggested an IUD, call Mirnera, it has progesterone in it and gives it off for 5 years. I am also overwieght and according to my GYN that is why a pill form of progesterone will not work. He said that after 200lbs, the effectiveness of any Birth Control pill or progesterone pill decreases by 50%. I went from bleeding 25 day a month with the overnight pads and clots so big I felt I was giving birth, to only using a thin supper maxi after it was inserted. I feel good, because I can finally stand up without the concern of "did I just bleed through my pad?" I am also feeling the effects of not bleeding all the time. More engery, and less tired. It was a hard decission for me as I know many women who had problems with IUD's. So far so good. I hope this helps. Hange in there, there is hope for an end.
