OBGYN.net provides several discussion forums for your use. These forums are available to you at no charge; however, they are not free for us to run and may sometimes feature advertising that you may not find agreeable.

Using the following guidelines will help us to answer your questions better...

1. Please take a moment to read this important notice about posting medical questions or information to the Internet:

http://www.obgyn.net/displayarticle.asp?page=/english/forums/wh-disclaimer

2. Please refrain from using all capitals, URGENT, PLEASE HELP, !!!!!!!!!!! or other such phrases it is difficult to read on the web and may delay or prevent a response.

3. Please do not repost a question within a 48-hour period. Please refrain from posting your questions or comments to more than one forum within a 48-hour time period, our filters may recognize this practice as spam and block you from posting at all. Please post one time to the forum you feel is most appropriate. For a list of forums please see http://www.obgyn.net/english/forums/forums.asp. If you have not received a response to your question please search the archives. If you do not see the information you are looking for perhaps you need to re-word your question or post it to a different forum.

4. Please do not use abbreviations without defining them initially. For example, a sentence should read, "I'm trying to conceive (TTC)," not "I'm TTC.” Posts that are too difficult to interpret may be skipped. This forum has an International audience and what is perfectly clear and understandable to you may not be as clear to the person reading your post.

5. Please remember that medical professionals do not monitor this forum and all information received here is for educational purposes only. Please do not post questions expecting a diagnosis or treatment.

6. This is not the Home Shopping Network. Nothing, including but not limited to medications and medical supplies, is to be offered for sale on this forum unless explicitly provided for or under license by OBGYN.net. All other "offerings" will be pulled.

7. ALL information submitted to this forum will be archived. ALL information submitted to this forum is searchable and available to anyone with Internet access. PLEASE DO NOT POST PERSONAL INFORMATION that you do not wish the entire world to see. Please review your post carefully before hitting the submit button.

8. Technical problems, offensive posts, subscribing and unsubscribing can be addressed easily.

a. Technical problems should be reported to webmaster@obgyn.net with the name of the forum and a full description of the problem you are having.

b. Offensive, rude or illegal posts should be reported to anonymous@obgyn.net with the complete url of the post, subject line, from line and time/date

stamp. If you subscribe to the forum and receive the post via email please forward the offensive portion to admin@obgyn.net with as much information as possible.

c. You may subscribe and unsubscribe yourself from each forum and manage your subscriptions from each forum's main introductory page. Please click the link to the forum you wish to subscribe to and follow the directions. Do not post Unsubscribe messages to the forum, as this is a self-service option. http://www.obgyn.net/english/forums/forums.asp.

The doctors, nurses and other health care professionals who answer your questions on the monitored forums want to be helpful, but they cannot and will not answer all questions due to the sheer daily volume, especially ones found time and time again in the archives. They may skip any posts at their discretion, and if you do not receive an answer within 48 hours, then you may post it again. If you feel it is either urgent or an emergency please call your personal doctor or go to your nearest emergency room. This site is meant to impart basic, accurate, and timely medical information on women's health issues. It is neither meant as a second opinion nor is it meant to initiate a physician-patient relationship (including specific, personal medical recommendations and diagnostic capabilities).

Thank you for using OBGYN.net.
