I was put on BCP's when I was 9 years old to get my periods regular and to help the cramps. I've had cramps a lot that I've had to go the ER for them and b/c sometimes I've bled for over six weeks straight and started passing out all the time. None of the Dr's could/would ever diagnose me with PCOS until I finally had to call and leave a message for my dr and his nurse called me back two days later and says that yes I do have PCOS and that he has known about it since I started going to him almost a year before. Well that was just the end of April this year and had to beg to be put on Metformin and my fasting levels were through the roof. So I went and seen a new Dr and he said that I was borderline Type 2 Diebetic and upped my dose of Metformin to 2000 mg. I am soooo glad that I've found this site though and can post on this board. Just a little about me.
