Re: pcos questionsFrom: Alyssa (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sat, 28 Jun 2003 20:11:23 -0500 (CDT)
Heather, I had almost an identical experience with the first endocrinologist I went to. I was so depressed and could not function for a day because of it. My doctor made me feel like a failur and basically that every symptom I had was in my head. I am not even that much overweight-maybe 10-15 pounds. I never used to be overweight, and I still had all the other symptoms associated with PCOS. I know what you mean about not eating much at all. I probably eat, at most, 500-700 calories a day-that is not healthy! My husband will attest to it too! How can a "normal" "healthy" person gain weight on 500-700 calories a day?! I have an appointment this Thursday with a different doc so we will see. I hope that your doctor is good this time! I hope mine is too. Keep us all informed on your progress. I am especially interested to see how you do and what kind of side effects you might have. Good luck. Alyssa:-)
