I know that most of us with pcos have a problem with never having a period, but while I have ALL the other symptoms of pcos and was diagnosed 7 years ago, I have my period almost constantly. I had it for 8 months straight last year and went to my gyno who did a biopsy and put me on ? (can't remember the drug name) to stop the bleeding. I was blood-free for about 4 months but have now been bleeding since the beginning of this year. I have to wear the huge overnight pads every day and the clots are horrible. My gyno has never done anything for my pcos but tell me to lose weight. (5'2", 260) I am now on the South Beach Diet and have so far lost 11 pounds. It seems like since I started the diet though, my period has been much heavier and more clots. I do not know if there is a connection or not. A few years ago I saw an endo about the pcos too and he told me the same thing as my gyno . . . lose weight. Much easier said than done! My family is planning a trip to a waterpark the 3rd weekend in July and since I can't wear tampons (clots come out right around them)I will probably be sitting on the sidelines instead of having fun. Anyone with similar symptoms, please give me some advice!! THANK YOU!!!!
