Spironolactone and it's brand name equivalent Aldactone is a potassium sparing diuretic used to deal with blood pressure problems. I've never heard of it being used in men with protaste cancer. Lupron and Zoladex are used in men with prostate cancer but never heard of Aldactone being used the same way b/c of the category it falls in. And even though it is a diuretic used for blood pressure you are right that it's used in women who have PCOS for part of the treatment course.

Could you pls tell us where you heard or read this info about Spiro and men with prostate cancer?
