My mother has Prinzmetals. She was diagnosed , wow, maybe 20 years ago. The difference with prinzmetals vs. regular angina is that with Prinzmetals the attacks come on during resting periods as opposed to periods of exersion. My mother often has her attacks during the night when she is sleeping. She keeps her nitro tablets near the bed.
