It is a problem I also have and cannot seem to find an explanation. I've had thyroid tests done and was told they were normal (I haven't seen the actual results yet). I have been on thyroid meds twice in my life. My quesiton to you is were your thyroid levels low when you went on Synthroid or was it done as a treatment to alleve the swelling. I've been told that some doctors will treat the symptoms even if the levels are normal. Thank you for your help.
