let me just start by saying I was 17 when I went to Mayo clinic in Rochester MN, because a doctor told me that I worry to much and that my problem was nothing to worry about. However at 17 with an abnormal amount of facial hair and being overweight and having high blood pressure was a bit odd, and I didnt know quite what to think of it.
So I was all freaked out my parents wer freaked out and we went to mayo clinic. tests upon tests, and 4 days later the same result came out. They tell me I had nothing to worry about. BUT yes I have a high level of free flowing testosterone, androgens are a bit high, and of course you have cysts on your ovaries but they arent consistent with pcos.
I got put on birth control pills and that was that! Here I am 21 years old and still have hair still have occasional high blood pressure, still overweight, periods are regular cause of the birth control. I still firmly believe that I still have it and I am almost positive that I have it. What you have to do is tell your niece to hang on! She is
beautifil no matter what! God Gave us these bodies for a reason. If she is really uncomfortable with the hair like I am you can always look into Electrolocis (sp?). under the chin and the sideburns often run together in a package, I know I can get it done here for $300 larger areas will obviously cost more. But she it still a beautiful woman no
matter what!!
