It isn't paid for by insurance often, but if the doc says it is being done for non-cosmetic reasons, such as recurrent skin infections under the apron of fat in the body creases, or severe back pain, or for mobility reasons, the insurance sometimes pays for it. I think about this problem sometimes when I contemplate losing all the weight I need to. I wonder if I am cuter, if not healthier, this way, than with the loose skin! (Only kidding!)
