Metformin (Glucophage) and the Risk of Losing Insurance???

Hi everyone. My doc won't prescribe metformin because it's not approved for PCOS. I'm thinking of going to a fertility clinic and getting it that way. However, won't I be labeled a diabetic on my medical records since this drug is only approved for diabetes? Will I be at risk for losing my insurance or having the premium go up? I am on an individual plan and can't afford to risk it. Please tell me your opions/tales. thanks.
