Hi,

Just wanted to tell you I sympathize with what you are going through with the sarcastic doctor. I have left doctor's visits in tears because of them telling me the same kinds of things. They have told me, "Oh, you're just getting older and that's what happens to us," or, "I really think what you need is to increase your dosage of antidepressant," or, "Your insulin numbers are normal and you really don't need the metformin", and on and on. I tried going off the metformin and the weight started coming back so I went back on it. I've been able to lose about 22 pounds so far. It's been a SLOW loss, but I don't care as long as it comes off and stays off!

He is very knowledgable about treatments of PCOS, but when I told him my weight problems, he looked at me sarcasticly, and said "you and I both know if I had to slide your food under that door, you would lose weight. People do starve to death. I personally rode my bike all summer and only lost five lbs." He basicly told me to stop overeating. I was very depressed. He doesnt believe a word I said, I could see it in his eyes.
