Re: pcos questionsFrom: Janet (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 15 Jun 2003 22:54:11 -0500 (CDT)
Hi heather, 2 post in a row that make me want to find mean doctors and tell them off!!!What a jerk!!! I had a dietitian tell me that there was no way I could be eating what I said I was and still gain weight. Basically calling me a liar. If you can find another doctor I would highly suggest it with a letter to your present one telling him what you think of him. If you are stuck with him, as many of us can be, you'll have to live with it. If you have blood tests make sure that you "carb-up" 2-3 days before the test. I'm sure this idiot wont tell you to do that. Eat lots of bad carbs(sugar, pop, pasta ect..). It will show up on your tests. If you are low carbing when you do a blood sugar test it can effect the results and not in a way to get metformin Rx to you. The bad carbs put stress on your system and it should show up on the test. SInce met I have lost 40 pounds and have ate more than I ever have. I had better stop this post before 4 letter words that are coming into my head get in here. I do have a suggestion. If met works for you as well as it has for me, write a letter to him anyway. DOnt tell him off because he might not give you anymore met. But do tell him how you feel about his treatment of you. It might help the next girl that comes in for help.
