Yes, Heather,

Losing weight isn't easy for anyone, but we ladies with PCOS have an especially hard time of it.

Your doctor sounds rude and patronizing. The attitude strikes me as an attitude that is way too common, that punishes and belittles larger women. He has a point that we need to watch what we eat, but he also needs to admit that PCOS patients gain weight differently than people who gain weight solely because of overeating.

You already are physically active. That is so fabulous! You are ahead of the game right there! Keep that going. Keep up with the low carb diet, too, it is the right choice probably. If you stay away from refined carbs, sugary stuff, the donuts, etc, and stick with whole grain carbs, beans, other veggies you'll be taking good care of yourself. Don't worry as much about the low fat part of the diet. (It's pretty hard to get by on all protein!)

And I think once you start taking the new meds, and you start correcting your insulin system, you'll see more results. Keep your chin up, enjoy your exercise, and keep the attitude positive. Good luck!
