The prescribing info from BMS on Glucophage lists some of the less
common side effects (appearing in 1 - 5% of patients) as:
"abnormal stools, hypoglycemia, myalgia (muscle pain), lightheaded,
dyspnea (uncomfortable breathing), nail disorder, rash, sweating
increased, taste disorder, chest discomfort, chills, flu syndrome,
flushing, palpitation."
The dyspnea part is what makes me think you just might be one of the
lucky few who fall in that 1-5% category. It may be something totally
unrelated too, of course, but this could explain it as well.
