I can help with the queation about avandmet other than to say that avandia works in your muscles and metformin in your liver. It actaully sounds like a good idea speading an insulin sensitizer around. As for your low dosage starting on a low dosage of metformin is a good thing. I am guessing that over time your doctor will raise your dosage. If you start out on a high dosage, it can make you sick. I started on 500 and am now up to 1700.
