HI AShley,
Could you maybe been going too low on the carbs the day that you
fainted??? Metformin is an insulin sensitizer and eating too few carbs
can drop your blood sugar dangerously low. When I did atkins i shook so
bad that i couldnt even hold a fork and that was when i wasnt on met.
ALthough lactic acidosis from metformin is very rare (average 15 of
10,000 people get it from metformin), it can be exasterbated by by low
carbing also. REguardless you need to talk to your doctor about this.
