Thanks for all the input about Atkins. Yesterday was my first day of induction and it went a lot easier than I expected. I am keeping a food journal to help me keep focused and on track. By the end of the day I had met all three of my goals of eating less than 20 carbs, drinking 64 oz of water, and not letting more than 6 hours pass without eating something. We'll see how the rest of my 13 days goes...one thing is certain, there is NOTHING wrong with my kidneys!

To be honest, before I read the Atkins book I didn't realize how many "hidden" carbs I was getting. There were carbs in my non-dairy creamer for my coffee, in my fat-free yogurt, in my fat-free salad dressing, in an apple...etc.

So...here it is. Day 2 of induction! I'll let you guys know if any weight drops off. I'm not going to weigh until the end of my two week Induction.

Thanks!
