I have noticed a decrease in my appetite. Not eating is a big thing for me. I could go all day and not eat breakfast lunch and just eat dinner. But I heard that it is bad for you metabolism so I have just started to try and eat three meals a day. Breakfast is the hardest for me. I couldn't even eat this morning. I didn't feel hungry at all. But I ate. Hopefully this works.

I know many people here take Metformin (glucophage) and have lost a lot of weight on it. I just had a question for those of you: When you started losing weight on it, was it because you started having a decreased appetite (or got fuller on less food than usual, as if having a shrunken stomach?) or were you just eating the same amount of food as you had before taking it, and it simply caused you to lose weight anyway? I'm just wondering, because I was just diagnosed and just starting taking it, and it feels like I can go a while without eating and not be as hungry as I used to, and I get fuller on less food, so I'm just wondering what other people's reactions are. (I don't know if I'm losing any weight yet, as I'm too afraid to weigh myself because I know I'll freak out--i've gained quite a bit of weight recently!) Thanks, gals! (And thanks to sonnet and thee for your skin tag responses!) -rebecca
