Re: PCOS & Bariatric Surgery/Insurance commentFrom: Kristy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 27 May 2003 22:30:20 -0700 (PDT)
Hi Leigh Ann! I also learned about this about getting samples of meds from the dr if possible b/c of cost from the AARP and a few other sources. I had an issue with my Family dr last year about my Allegra b/c with the insurance I had at the time b/c the medicine was considered non-formulary it would have been more than I could afford to pay. So we went around and around on this a few times. It really bugged me that I could get that kind of an attitude but I still try to push for samples when I can of meds. Now I try to get most of my meds from my gyn if I need scripts b/c I see her more than I do any other dr. How are you doing overall? ===== Kristy :) http://www.geocities.com/sokokl/kristyspersonalpage.html For women who are interested in additional support http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Endo_Vulvodynia_PCOS/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Zoladexforendometriosis/ I am a Medical Secretary who does a lot of learning from reading on the Net, books, my dr(s), as well as sharing my own personal experiences.
