Talk to your doctor about your concerns when you go back (to get results and, supposedly, birth control.) Birth control pills ARE useful to regulate your period, and don't always mean weight gain, but there shouldn't be a reason you HAVE to take them. There are other medications for PCOS, if that's what you have, and if her concern is irregular periods alone you can induce those with progesterone (Provera or Prometrium.) Don't be afraid to tell her that you're not comfortable with that treatment - you have EVERY right to refuse a treatment and look at other options - and see what she has to offer you!
