birth control and weight gain

I am 19, and I just went to my doctor yesterday. I showed her all my hair, and told her about my irregular periods. she took blood to get it tested to see what my hormone levels are. what happens when i get these results back? she wants to put me on birth control no matter what, to regulate my period. Im kind of affraid of the weight gain that comes with taking birth control. weight is not a problem for me (im 5'2 and 108 pounds), but i don't want it to become a problem. is there anything i can take that wont make me gain weight? I take adderall for ADD, which makes me not hungry, but im not sure how that would work with birth control.
