Re: Pregnancy's with PCOFrom: Amber (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 15 May 2003 03:53:01 -0500 (CDT)
I have been on 2000mg of Metformin (glucophage) for over three months now, and the first month I didn't ovulate, and the last two I have. It has brough my leuteal phase up in days, which makes a pg possible in some ways...so that has been good. I haven't been able to lose the weight or the sugar cravings with the Met. I have a hard time losing weight exercising and thought the Met would help me with that, but so far I have seen no results. I try and cut out as much of the bad carbs as I can...but sometimes those darn cravings overtake us. I did start out on 500mg of Metform and was on that for 9 months with no ovulation results, so maybe see what dose you are on, and maybe ask your doctor to up it!! If you haven't gone to a reproductive endocrinologist (RE), and want to get pg...that might also be a good route to go!! I hope all works out for you!! Amber
