metformin + hirsutism question

My doctor told me that hormone induced changes to hair can be reversed once hormone levels have been returned to normal, but that it can take up to two years to realze the full effects.

Has anyone experienced the reversal of hirsutism as a result of Metformin/Glucophage?

If so, how long did it take, and what is your dose?

I really don't want to take the anti androgen medications that I'm reading about and I'd rather stick to metformin but haven't seen much result yet - although my levels aren't completely normal as we are still adjusting the dose.
