I was supposed to be seeing my Dr next month to start taking Met, I am currently on Dianette bcp. My appt was cancelled last week and I have been told the next appt they can give me is in August! I have been waiting since Dec for the appt. After being sent away by the doctor I saw in Dec, the consultant wrote to my dr to say she wanted to put me on Met, this has to be prescribed by the hospital (I'm in the UK by the way) so I just have to wait. I am going to see my Doctor tomorrow to ask to be referred to another hospital as I'm really not happy at seeing someone different everytime I go and just being fobbed off. I have never in the 3 years since being diagnosed actually seen my consultant! I just feel like I'm getting no where. I'm trying to low carb, being a vegetarian isn't helping, I have started eating fish after 12 years, but really finding this hard. If the doctor won't refer me....(this other hospital actually runs a clinic for PCOS) I will have no choice but to go private. I'm doing all I can at the moment but the system in this country really and truly sucks! Sorry to sound so miserable but no one seems to understand!
