please, help me to read my blood test resultsFrom: Yuvi (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 13 May 2003 09:45:31 -0500 (CDT)
I have just come back from my GP. The funny (and very sad thing at the same time) is that I was literally begging for exactly these results (thank you girls for advises) but he still didn't want to do all of them. So he did a few and they are abnormal. But tell me, please, "how much" abnormal. Here they are: Serum Prolactin - 160 mIU/l; Serum progesterone - <0.6 nmol/l SHBG - 38 nmol/l Serum androstenedione - 12.1 nmol/l Serum testosterone - 2.1 nmol/l (this one says "normal") Here you go - I am so confused: the first doctor told me that I was "fit and healthy", the second visit was even more frustrating as he was the most irogant doctor I have ever met and the third one gave me an example of a woman who managed to conceive with having period once a year :(!!! I went to register to the other GP but I still checked my results in my previous GP - and they don't seem to be as of "a fit and healthy" woman are they???!!! Please, write your comments on my results. Greatly appreciate your help! Yuvi
