just an update: i went to see the gp yesterday with a good article in my hand, he seemed encouraged but has said he wants to talk it over with the ob in the main hospital here (which i took as a good sign), iv to see him again in just over a week, iv started compiling a file to bring with me, at least it will be some "light" bedtime reading for him, if nothing else!!! things look hopeful tho, thanks for your help, ill keep you all informed. Emajo
