Thanks RE: PCOS and IBS responsesFrom: GoldenEagle (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 30 Apr 2003 19:22:56 -0700
Thank you to all who responded re: my question about PCOS and IBS. You all have given me lots of information and lots to think about. At least I know that this is another issue that I am not alone in here and that the advice given will certainly help! The Metformin seems to have taken care of my constipation problem already. LOL Now I have to find the perfect something to take or eat that will help me find that good balance between being backed up completely or running too freely! Especially during the first few weeks of the Met. Isn't the body just wonderful?! LOL Next week I was told to move up to 1000mg..... ugh. Hopefully by that time my body will have adjusted enough to where the added dosage won't make things too much worse. One question... When I do move to 1000mg a day, can I take both pills at once or is it better to split them up and take one twice a day? With the diarrhea seeming to be a problem, I almost wondered if it would be better to get it over with all at once rather than have two seperate episodes a day! Or would the second dose likely not be as bad? Gotta sleep some time!! LOL
