Speaking of weddings

I have to say, while we're on the subject, that David's Bridal is GREAT!! I got my wedding dress there in 1999, and I was a size 28/30. I picked my dress OFF THE RACK (there's a first) and even had it shipped to me in Australia, and it was stunningly, incredibly beautiful - and fit great. Their sizes run large at least in some things, and the dress I bought even had 2" side gussets to be let out if need be (I didn't) so you could feasibly even go up another size from what you purchased. The dress on me was even *slightly* too big, if anything, through the bust. But it was wonderful, no adjustments really necessary! I also only paid $500 for it and got SO many compiments, years later people still on occassion mention my beautiful dress.

I've also been there twice now as a bridesmaid and their stuff has been good! Once, I was able to wear a bridesmaid dress off the rack and the other time I had to have a top adjusted. But hey, I weighed about 350lbs at the time so even with an adjustment I think that's pretty good! The staff were all at least fairly professional and they did the alterations and measurements and everything right in the store.

It's totally no fun to be a bridesmaid when you're self conscious, I know!! But, I have to put a word in here that if you're needing a wedding dress, or having a wedding with PCOS bridesmaids, David's is a great option! It can at least make it one less thing to have to freak out about.
