Hi!

Doctors are now starting to prescribe Metformin or Glucophage for PCOS women who do not test positive for insulin resistance. There have been studies that show that Met or Gluc DOES help women who have PCOS but who do not test positive for IR and/or are not overweight. I'd go ahead and try it. There is no cure for PCOS but as of right now, a low carb diet combined with Glucophage is our best bet. If you go to my PCOS page on my website, I have a link to an article that talks about the study that I mentioned above if you'd like to check it out. I'll include the link below. Also, I do not test positive for IR in "regular" lab tests and I take Met and it is helping me. God bless, Tera
