Dear Dawn, Reading your message is exactly how I felt my first month on glucophage. I have never been diagnosed with IBS but I have suffered with constipation since my early teens. When diagnosed with PCOS I was put on glucophage 500mg 2 times a day. It caused me to become so bloated I felt like I was filled from head to toe with gas. My Dr. told me to try some gas-X. That didn't work. He told me to wait it out and that these symptoms should go away over time. It has been four months and the symptoms are pretty much all gone. I still have my fight with constipation but I do not constantly feel bloated. I have found that a bowl of total raisin brand and two doses of benefiber a day really helps with the constipation. Hope this helps, Holly
