Hello Lisa, I too have PCOS, and I understand how it feels to think of everything from A to Z to get the weight off, and nothing falls through, the lap band has been my last resort as well, they have many other weight loss surgeries but I firmly choose the lap band procedure, because it's reversible and it doesn't really have any death rates reported on it. I plan on getting the Lap Band procedure within 2 to 3 months from now, I am in the process now to get my insurance to approve it, I have found many websites about women with PCOS getting Bariatric Surgeries done and it making a big difference for there lives. Alot of the women had a hard time trying to loose the weight with PCOS because as they say women with PCOS have harder luck loosing and keeping the weight off. You can go to some search engines and type in words like"Bariatric Surgery and PCOS" or "Lap Band Procedures" and so forth after you go through some of them you will figure out your own words to research, as far as what you are looking for. the lap band procedure is non-invasive. A lot of the surgeons perform this surgery Laproscopically so it means very little skin cutting. If you need some information, on how to get your insurance to pay for the procedure and support, you can go to http://www.obesityhelp.com and go to a search engine to find a bandster group to help you out as well so you can read and learn more on Bariatric Surgeries. I apologize making this so long. I hope I've helped you. Feel free to email me at daehlia@aol.com. Bye and Good luck to you!!!!!!!!
