I thought I was going to die....... My soon to be husband was the best man and I cried because I didn't want him or anyone else to see my fat arms. I got a sleek shaw and it turned out to be ok......... I did go tanning though. ......... No matter how big you think you look you will look fabulous..........In fact i have to were another bridesmaid dress in July that is stapless...... I am very nervous but I did order a shaw and it really helps me to feel covered up...... But you go strut your stuff girl........... you will look fine........ Christina

I used to be skinny, and i had a really cute figure. then bcuz of the pcos i just blew up...like 50 lbs in a months time...Anyways, I was a maid of honor in my (then boyfriend, now husbands) brothers wedding. me and the bride were always good friends since we were dating brothers and all. I had a hell of a time finding a dress...all i had to do was pick one out in a dark blue...i couldnt find one in a size 18 that didnt make me feel like a sausage..I finally found some in JC Penny's in the dark blue that looked decent on me. But it was July, so I had to wear spaghetti straps. Everyone was going to be at that wedding that I used to hang around with when i was skinny...And i knew what tehy were all thinking..("woah, she blew up! what ahppened to her!!) blah blah anyways, what i did, since i was sooo self conscious, is i bought a sheer wrap that matched the color of the dress! it was big enough to cover my fat arms and ! !
it looked classy and elegant as well! Tell the bride that you are really self conscious. I am sure she will understand. I got married in Nov. and some of my girls were bigger than others. they came to me and told me how they felt self conscious about this or that, and i told them that no matter what, they are beautiful. but if they felt that way, to go out and buy a wrap that matches the dress, and that was fine. I hope all works out for you.... GOOD LUCK! >
