My mom's mother was a chronic diabetic, her brother is diabetic. My other grandmother is diabetic.. Now my Grt Grt Grandmother Driggers only had one child which is very unsusual for that time. When I look at the rest of my family tree at that time was having anywhere from 5-12 children to work in the fields. It was nothing like you see on Little House on the Prairie. My RE said I show no signs of diabetes BUT I will more than likely have gestational diabetes because of my family history. Also, my blood work doesn't show me being IR but I have many other symptoms or IR that he showed to me. I never even noticed the dark patches of skin. Here is the link to his website.
