Though usually an is yellow or grey, it can be red and rashy looking too according to my endo. Mine usually is the grey stuff, but it seems to cyclically become red and irritated too. I also find that the A N on my thighs gets red if I wear certain pantyhose. I usded to think is was from rubbing, but when I finally got dx and saw that the stuff on my arm ppits and the stuff on my legs were one in the same I put it all together.
