Re: generic VS name brandFrom: anonymous@obgyn.netFri, 25 Apr 2003 21:50:37 EDT
My pharmacy gave me the generic without asking (or telling) me and tried to pass it off as the brand...don't ask..anyway, I noticed a difference (symptoms and the pills smelled like fish) and found out it was the generic...my doc made sure I got brand after that. I'm on teh XR now, but I definitely noticed my symtoms coming back on the generic. There are others, though, you have no problems with the generic. I was on real glucophage until my insurance stopped covering it, now they will only pay for the generic. I have noticed a huge difference in the returning of symptoms and so on, could this be related or am I just thinking so because it happens to coincide????
