Clomid

Anyone hear been told to limit the number of cycles to try Clomid to conceive? My Dr suggested no more cycles because after too many you increase your risk for cancer, but then stated that I am higher risk for cancer anyways because of my history of irregular periods! Any thoughts on this? Do you think this would be a lifetime limit, or does the clock start over after a while (after a child? or after a year?)
